is a Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor and has worked
extensively treating adolescents and adults in individual, group, and
family counseling. His outpatient counseling services focus on
assessment, treatment, and relapse prevention. In recovery, exploration of deeper emotional issues relating to substance abuse may be considered, and
family involvement is encouraged throughout the treatment process.
Treatment often involves the 12-step philosophy, cognitive-behavioral techniques,
biofeedback therapy, and laboratory drug screening. Diagnostic tools for assessment of abuse patterns and psychological trends are also utilized
(SASSI/ASI, BDI & BAI). He works closely with school staff, parole/probation officers, or EAP staff to help develop an effective team approach when appropriate. Schools can receive
services on campus as well as “out of office” locations as needed.
